Razer has announced the Hammerhead Duo, a dual driver in-ear headset for PS4, Xbox One and even Nintendo Switch. The triple-headed snake trademark of Razer is one of the most recognized logos in the global gaming and esports communities. With a fan base that spans every continent, the company has designed and built the world’s largest gamer-focused ecosystem of hardware, software and services. Next, they have a perfect weight to them that it feels premium holding it. I was a little concern about how it’d fit in the ear but turns out they the weight were just nice that it didn’t feel like it was pulling down on my ear.

Having a third-party microphone that supports voice chat on Nintendo Switch is also a rarity, although there aren’t many games we’d consider using it with. Tested with iOS device at 50% volume and brightness on Breathing effect and Active Noise Cancellationon.

As for PlayStation 4, plugged it in via the controller and boot up some Kingdom Hearts 3 and ironically I’m currently in the Pirate of the Caribbean world so the water sounds were just as crisp and clear as it was on PC. Nintendo Switch The Razer Hammerhead Duo comes with a typical set of features one would expect with high-quality in-ear buds: The tips allow for the use of 3 different sizes of replaceable silicone earbuds so that you can customize the fit to your liking. Not only will these tips help make the headphones sit more comfortably in your ear, but having a nice, tight fit also reduces outside noise. So while they’re not technically noise-cancelling, they can be truly immersive.

Razer’s award-winning hardware includes high-performance gaming peripherals, Blade gaming laptops and the acclaimed Razer Phone. It helps that the Hammerhead Duo comes with three different earbud tips: small, medium and large. You'll have to do a little experimenting to find out which one suits your ears best — which is why it's unhelpful that the tips are such an absolute pain to attach to the buds.I didn’t use it much for gaming on my phone since I’m currently only playing Epic 7. But entertainment wise (movies and music) the sound definitely delivered, as I stated above. Verdict

Aesthetically, these earbuds are targeted toward gamers, but the accurate frequency response and ergonomic design make them appealing to all audiences. Probably one of the most underrated consequences of the dual driver technology is the consistent frequency quality as we turned up or down. Often sound quality can get muddy when speakers or headphones are turned down or they can get distorted as the volume gets close to its limit. With the Duos, however, no matter where we set the volume, we heard the same audio, just quieter or louder. Final verdict Navigate to your device’s Bluetooth settings to turn on Bluetooth, then scan for and connect to “Razer Hammerhead TWS (2nd Gen)”. You will hear an audible cue “Bluetooth Connected” from the earbuds to confirm that they are connected to yourdevice. The Razer Hammerhead Duo takes its name from the custom-tuned dual drivers housed in each earpiece. Dual Driver technology functions by having two audio drivers work in harmony to deliver perfectly balanced sound – with deep bass from the Dynamic Driver and bright, high-frequency details from the Balanced Armature Driver.

Razer Hammerhead Duo review | TechRadar

The Hammerhead Duo is well-named due to it’s two drivers. The dual-driver technology promises immersive sound because the drivers separate the deep bass sounds from mid- and high- frequencies which means you have a full sound experience. When listening to these on my commute I missed my ANC headphones, but the sound profile was good and I didn’t notice too much loss. The two drivers are a balanced armature driver in the earpiece, and a dynamic driver behind that which deliver better sound than single-driver counterparts on the market. Earbuds อาจจะรู้สึกแน่นไปนิดหน่อยถ้ามาใช้ตัวนี้ครั้งแรกๆก็อาจจะไม่ได้ชินเท่าไรครับก็ต้องลองขยับหามุมดู Control: Mic mute enable/disable (for Razer Hammerhead Duo – Compatible with the Nintendo Switch™ only) Whilst I don’t rate wired headphones personally because I find the cable to be troublesome, I think the Razer Hammerhead Duo Headphones are a mid-budget choice that performs as you’d expect. The dual-driver technology makes a difference in the overall sound profile when compared to single-driver options, but can’t deliver the truly immersive experience of Active Noise Cancelling headphones. At the same time, the buds can feel pretty sparse, especially compared to Razer's more ornate full-size headsets. Frankly, there's not much to set them apart from a good — and potentially more comfortable — set of music earbuds from a major manufacturer. We featured the ANC version of the Razer Hammerhead headphones the other week, so this week I tried the Razer Hammerhead Duo Headphones, which is the non-noise cancelling version. Comprised of two earbuds and a control panel for adjusting volume, microphone and play/pause functionality, the small form factor seems really attractive. We tested these headphones with movies as well and found that that same high-end frequency bump did show up time and again. While watching Hateful 8, the bells on the horses seemed to jingle quite loudly and in Solo: A Star Wars Story, blaster sounds were also surprisingly prominent. In fact, the lower high-end frequency, mids, and lows were all balanced in a very pleasing way, and this high-end frequency issue didn’t seem to affect gaming - the sound effects, atmospherics in games such as Tomb Raider, Sekiro Shadows Die Twice and Call of Duty WWII were crisp, detailed and balanced.
