I do expect, as an absolute minimum, you will get 2 weeks (14 days) if not longer, even if you used the Gum Health mode. As far as plaque removal goes, science hasn't yet given us a clear answer as to whether Oral-B or Sonicare is better. It's worth mentioning that the studies used different models of electric toothbrush from each brand, and therefore there could be other factors influencing the results. Below we've put together a couple of excerpts from several of these studies to give you an idea of what researchers are saying with respect to this debate: Research results The handle is made from plastic and feels robust and good quality. The plastic has a matt look to it and is smooth to the touch. Although smooth, the finish is not all that slippery. The pressure sensor is another very useful feature. It is particularly useful for first-time electric toothbrush users.

The microUSB port is on one edge of the case. There are no LED’s on the outside to make it clear that the brush is charging. When connected to power, the handle does vibrate and make a sound. If the case is open, you can see the charge lights on the handle flash also.

Let me explain in more detail about some of the technology and cleaning capability of this toothbrush then. Aesthetics: Many people think that Sonicare is a better-looking brush, saying that it has a sleeker design and better colour coordination. Oral-B's brush heads often don't match the handle. Some even say that an Oral-B brush looks and feels like a toy (perhaps with the exception of their new iO range).

It is also true that all Sonicare toothbrushes make use of a sweeping motion (unlike the oscillating activity of several other brushes) and go as much as 62,000 times a minute. These high frequency movements carefully get water to sweep between your teeth to remove foods and plaque with no hard brush which can potentially harm the gums. Its wireless SmartGuide timer to let you know when you have brushed for the recommended amount of time and in the right places, while the pressure sensor stops you from brushing too hard and causing any damage to your tooth enamel or gums.Inside the case, there’s a slight variation too, as a result of the way the two brushes are recharged. The ExpertClean case features a prong that fits in the foundation of the ExpertClean, whereas the DiamondClean casing doesn’t.

This then shows key information on the screen, when using the app. You can see via clear visuals, where you are brushing, what areas you have brushed, areas you should focus on more. This is the brush head replacement reminder light. This will shine an amber colour when it is time to replace the brush head. This is part of the BrushSync technology, which I will explain shortly. Get 60% off Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 Series Power Electric Toothbrush Special Edition - Sonic Brush, Dark Blue, 1 X C3 Premium Plaque Control Brush Head (Model HX9911/88) The main difference between Philips Sonicare ExpertClean 7300 and 7300 is that the Sonicare 7900 Expertclean comes with a whitening cleaning mode and two more brushing heads (a total of 4) than the Sonicare 7300 which only has 3 brushing heads and no whitening cleaning mode. This toothbrush has multiple cleaning modes to suit different user needs, as well as a built-in timer and pacer to ensure you brush your teeth for the dentist recommended 2 minutes. All in all, it is very comparable with the DiamondClean Smart with a few key differences. Essentially, the iO Series 10 has a more advanced display but doesn't offer the same variety in brush heads. The app interface and functionality may be another factor in helping you decide which brush is best for you. Similar to many of the mid-range models, the Oral-B SmartSeries 6500 comes with Bluetooth connectivity to support the Oral-B app, while its Sonicare mid-range rival does not include app connectivity. An Oral-B SmartSeries 6500 kit includes: This toothbrush has three brushing modes, three cleaning intensities, a built-in pressure sensor, a charging travel case, a brush head replacement reminder system, and brush head mode pairing. It also has an automatic power off and two or more weeks of battery life.

Unless you have used the different models as I have, you may not realise or even be worried about it. But, I wouldn’t be doing my job right unless I told you so. Sadly, it is not possible for me to do this prior to writing a review. But, I have been hands-on with it and used it as my daily toothbrush for a few weeks prior to writing this. This is equivalent to 108 minutes of brushing time. Or in other words, just under double the life Sonicare claim, so this is a positive. Typically, it is advised to break the mouth up into 4 sections, upper right, upper left, lower right and lower left. The idea is 30 seconds are spent on each section of the mouth. After 2 minutes the result will be a fairly even clean across all teeth.Depending on what colour and how many LEDs are lit, depends on the remaining battery charge. They are lit as follows: A point to note here is that Sonicare’s warranty wording, printed in the user manual, says the brush may be repaired or replaced. However, at the start of the user manual, under the warnings section, it specifically states: The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 has few subtle, high-end visual differences. However theSonicare Expertclean 7900 can do what the Diamondclean can if you invest in buying the C3 premium brush head because it is primed to focus on whitening teeth. The C3 alongside the defence. Price Comparison: ExpertClean 7300 does not have a charging (USB) traveling case. Nevertheless, it has a regular travel case that has a trendy appearance. There is a pressure sensors in both the 7300 and 7500 to help you avert exerting excessive pressure when brushing.
